King Records Month Kicks Off at The Woodward

September marks the 74th anniversary of the first songs recorded for the Cincinnati label, King Records. The Woodward Theater is hosting a FREE admission event to kick off this important month in style. Freekbass is headlining the night and the School of Rock will delight with special performances by King Records recording artists Otis Williams and Philip Paul.

Come early for plenty of great King Records tunes, hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, and a King Records exhibit on display. The event will be hosted by Evanston Community Council president and King Studios chair Anzora Adkins. She’ll be joined by Otis Williams and Philip Paul, Mayor John Cranley, council members and other King Records fanatics.
