Global Meets Local at One World Music & Cultural Celebration

The One World Music & Cultural Celebration debuts Sunday, July 23 from 2-8 PM at Urban Artifact. One World Music & Cultural Celebration is a multicultural arts festival celebrating the diversity of the Greater Cincinnati community through music, folk art, dance, and food. With a focus on Latin American, Caribbean, and Mediterranean culture, the festival was created as a way to share and celebrate our community’s differences to make for better understanding and coexistence.

The all-day event showcases dynamic live music, including Cincy Brazil Samba Dance (traditional Brazilian), Queen City Silver Stars (Caribbean), and Keshvar Project (Gypsy/Mediterranean). Attendees can also participate in interactive demos, such as belly dancing, capoeira, and hand drumming. Events are scheduled throughout the day so that audience members can learn something new, then participate in the next performance. In addition, the festival will feature international eats from Jamaican food truck Just Jerks and Latin American food truck Mashed Roots. Vendors will also be on site with a variety of crafts for purchase.

One World Music & Cultural Celebration is all-ages, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets are available online for $12, or they can be purchased at the door for $15. One World Music & Cultural Celebration is sponsored by Shake-It Records.
