New Found Glory Headed to Bogart’s on Friday

Following the recent release of their single “Happy Being Miserable,” New Found Glory is heading to Cincinnati to debut songs from their upcoming album.

The new album, Makes Me Sick, will be available on April 28th. The first single on the album was released in mid-February along with the video. To lead up to their latest album release, New Found Glory has built a series of webisodes which can be found on their Facebook page.

The 20 Years of Pop Punk Tour, which was announced in December, will be hitting cities from New York to Las Vegas and San Francisco. Kick off began with a show in Baltimore on March 22nd and will end in Ft. Lauderdale in May.

Celebrating 20 years of making music across the country, New Found Glory will be playing up some of their biggest hits from before 2010 with many shows featuring their albums Sticks and Stones and Catalyst in their entirety.

Founded in 1997, the pop punk band from Coral Springs, Florida, has released eight studio albums, one live album, two EPs, and three cover albums (WOW!) They’ve been labeled the godfathers of pop punk, taking on what was the introduction to a generation that embraced them with open arms. Their first album, Nothing Gold Can Stay, sold over 300,000 copies in 1999. In the early 2000s, they rocked the US Modern Rock Chart with a No. 15 hit, as well as occupied a spot on the Billboard 200 chart after their self-titled album release. The album was certified gold by the RIAA as well.

When pre-production for their new album began in September 2016, the band took to Instagram to post pictures and updates of their progress. The music video for “Happy Being Miserable” released earlier this year was inspiration from the pie scene from the movie Stand By Me and has received almost 350,000 hits on Youtube.

While most of the shows (including the show at Bogart’s) have sold out, tickets are still available for a few of their April and May shows across the country and can be found here. Stay tuned to New Found Glory as the excitement for their new album builds this month! #NFG20YearTour
