The Ohio Music Awards Announced the 2016 winners and Cincinnati Recording Artist Charlie Millikin cleaned up, winning Best Pop Song; “Forever and Always” and “Best Singer Songwriter Song; “Use This Love”. Charlie’s self-titled debut EP was released in June 2016 featuring a mix of pop, soul and R&B, while his latest Single “Use This Love” dropped in October and is available on Spotify, iTunes, and Google Play. Recorded at Cincinnati’s Creative Mills Studios, “Use This Love”, a musical plea for unity and togetherness, was inspired by the tragic Orlando Nightclub shootings last June. The song also won 3rd place in the Pop category of the International Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.
In addition, “The Self-Esteem Room”, a podcast hosted by Charlie featuring in-depth interviews with local artists of all kinds debuted January 2nd and can be found HERE and HERE, and later this month on iTunes.
Charlie will be performing live at the Downtowne Listening Room on Saturday, January 14th at the SOLD OUT Cincy Singer-Songwriter Showcase, and kicks off his Midwest tour January 17th in Memphis, TN.
