Cincinnati Pops with Vanessa Williams

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra welcomes back the multi-talented performer Vanessa Williams for a one-night-only performance at the Taft Theatre on Sunday, October 9 at 7 p.m. The Grammy- and Tony-winning singer and actress will perform classic Broadway favorites, as well as many of her chart-topping pop and R&B hits, complete with rich orchestrations performed by the full Pops Orchestra. Associate Conductor Keitaro Harada also leads the first half of the program including additional Broadway tunes like “Seasons of Love” from Rent, “Children Will Listen” from Into the Woods, and “On Broadway” from Smokey Joe’s Café.

As one of the most respected and multi-faceted artists in the entertainment industry today, Vanessa Williams’ long list of credits span Broadway (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Into the Woods), film (Soul Food, Eraser) and television (Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife). Her incredible talent and versatility as an entertainer has gained her multiple Grammy, Tony and Emmy nominations. She previously performed with the Pops in 2007 at Riverbend Music Center.
