Twin Limb is one of those unique bands that’s able to shift their sound from listless to all-enveloping in a matter of seconds. They make melodies that get lost, then get found in a hurry. The type of noise that can coat the walls of an apartment if given enough listens.
Lacey Guthrie and Maryliz Bender - the founding members of Twin Limb - started out as a Louisville, KY-based two-piece. Soon after they were joined by Kevin Ratterman, who was originally brought on to produce their first LP but instead became the third member of the newly-minted trio. Their first release - Anything Is Possible and Nothing Makes Sense - came out this past November. It contains tracks rooted in guitar, strings and accordion accompanied by some straight-up haunting vocal harmonies. It’s filled with the types of songs that leave you staring off into the distance, taking you anywhere else other than where you currently are in the process.
Twin Limb will be echoing throughout the halls of Madison LIVE in Covington, KY on April 8th. The Covington show will be sandwiched between stops in Chicago and Knoxville as part of their four month long tour in support of Anything Is Possible and Nothing Makes Sense.
