South side Chicago rapper, Lil Durk is headed to town! Lil Durk released his newest mixtape, 300 Days, 300 Nights, which includes 18 tracks and features from Dej Loaf, Meek Mill, Young Dolph and more. Alongside of his mixtape, Lil Durk has recently released the music video for his single “My Beyoncé” with Dej Loaf.
We sat down with the rapper prior to the show, which is Sunday at The Avenue Event Center in Northside!
CincyMusic.com: Give us some background on Lil Durk…
Lil Durk: I’m from South Side Chicago where I grew up rapping with my boys. I’m excited on where my rap career is going and I’m signed to DefJam records.
CM: What can one expect from a live Lil Durk show?
Lil Durk: My shows are full of energy. We get lit and have fun. I perform my recent tracks, a few older ones, and tease a new song or two. I love performing and getting to connect with my fans in different towns. Looking forward to this tour!
CM: Tell us about your writing process, where do you find inspiration?
Lil Durk: I get my ideas from my past and present, you know – friendships and relationships to problems I’ve run into. Any experience is a potential inspiration.
CM: What is next for Lil Durk?
Lil Durk: Right now, focusing on my tour, having fun and creating new music. I’m always working on music and I can’t wait for ya’ll to hear what’s coming.
