Cincy Groove Music Festival Preview

In celebration of the 8th year anniversary of Cincy Groove; on Saturday, November 21st, 2015 they will be taking over the Sanctuary stage at The Southgate House Revival with 5 of your favorite bands!

Cincy Groove was established in November 2007 in order to showcase the concert photography of owner, Scott Preston. Since then CincyGroove.com has evolved into a one stop shop in Cincinnati for concert photos, music news, and music calendar!

The lineup for the Cincy Groove Music Festival includes some incredible music from some of your favorite funk/fusion/jam bands! Carole Walker, SOUSE, The Cincy Brass, Ray’s Music Exchange, and Elementree Livity Project will all be gracing the stage in the Sanctuary.

Carole Walker is a Cincinnati native that has performed as a solo singer songwriter, in a duet, as the lead singer of a national touring band, and as a cast member in local musical theater productions. Carole Walker's songwriting goes far beyond convention. She weaves her lyrics into a tapestry of spoken word, poems, and heartfelt songs all wrapped in her warm powerful voice.

SOUSE is a seven-piece jazz-funk band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Formed in the Spring of 2004, out of the ashes of the late progressive fusion act Final Exit, SOUSE quickly became one of the premier jazz-funk bands in the Midwest. Blending infectious melodies with layered rhythms and open improvisational passages, SOUSE continues to forge a unique sound and push the envelope with explosive live performances.

The Cincy Brass are a Cincinnati staple band. This 9-piece brass band has the essence of Bourbon St, funk, hip-hop, and jazz all wrapped into an epic explosion of sound and passion. Anywhere The Cincy Brass play is bound to turn into a party.

Ray's Music Exchange is a six-piece ensemble from Cincinnati dedicated to the creation of eclectic and innovative music. Ray's focuses on the collaborative process and developing a strong community of musicians through various side projects and guest performers. With influences ranging from jazz and funk, to world beat and experimental, the collective result is unique and balanced, often venturing through many musical ideas during the course of an evening. Orchestrated compositions, free and guided improvisations, electronic music, and an adventurous approach to musical communication are all part of a Ray's performance.

Elementree Livity Project has created a recipe for success based on one goal. That goal is simple; to bring the message of Livity to the masses by spreading positive vibes; a message of peace, harmony, & acceptance for all people. It is a message of love & understanding for all.
