Cincinnati locals, Walk the Moon broke the record for the most time leading Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart, as it reigns for a 24th week! “Shut Up and Dance” breaks the No. 1 longevity mark as it wraps a full year, 52 weeks, on the survey.
The Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart was launched in June 2009 and has been previously led by Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” and Imagine Dragon’s “Radioactive”. Not bad company to keep.
Walk the Moon recently played to their hometown fans in July at the Home Run Derby prior to the All-Star Game at Great American Ballpark. Even though they had just played Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati a little over a month before, they were the band not to be missed in the All-Star festivities.
Way to Go Walk the Moon!! Let’s celebrate next time you are in town.
