Death Cab for Cutie is a staple in the national indie music scene. The band is noted for its use of unconventional instrumentation, as well as lead singer, Ben Gibbard's distinctive voice and unique lyrical style. Having just released their 7th studio album, Kintsugi, Death Cab started out on the road again. Lucky for Cincinnati, the band hits PNC Pavilion this Friday, September 18th! Maybe the Postal Service will make an appearance?
Death Cab for Cutie is joined at PNC Pavilion by Twin Shadow! Twin Shadow, aka George Lewis Jr, started his music career making solo recordings in his Brooklyn bedroom. His music caught the attention of Grizzly Bear bassist Chris Taylor, who not only lent his skills to the project as co-producer but also assisted Twin Shadow with the release of his debut album, Forget. Fast forward six years, and Eclipse marks George’s third album as Twin Shadow, which has earned outstanding praise from the media. Rolling Stone said, "Eclipse is an album that's self-assured and unrestrained," and Entertainment Weekly writes, "Lewis' seductive voice provides irresistible tether.”
Catch Death Cab for Cutie and Twin Shadow at PNC Pavilion on Friday, September 18th!
