MusicNOW, the contemporary-music festival now in its 10th year, expands its programming into The Woodward Theater this year, with performances from Cloud Nothings and Will Butler (of Arcade Fire) on Wednesday, March 11 and concert:nova with Jeff Ziegler performing pieces by Caroline Shaw, Bryce Dessner and Richard Reed Parry on Thursday, March 12. The Woodward is located at 1404 Main Street in Over-the-Rhine.
General admission tickets are on sale now at MOTR Pub, Shake It Records,CincyTicket (Wednesday, March 11), Eventbrite (Thursday, March 12) and all CincyTicket outlets. All shows at The Woodward are age-restricted to 21-and-up unless otherwise noted.
MusicNOW was founded in 2006 by Bryce Dessner of The National. Through the years, the festival has invited contemporary musicians and risk-taking artists who do not fit neatly into genre defined categories. Past performances have included festival-only collaborations, world premiere compositions, and sold out audiences.
