This eight piece funk-rock band from Dayton is headed to Cincy to prove that they know how to turn it up at a live show. Gem City is composed of Willie Four (front man), Zack Lemons (guitar), Peter Mills (bass), Dave Watanabe (keys), Dillon Corrigan (drums), Matt Schroeder (tenor saxophone), Terry Staten (baritone saxophone) and Mike Francis (trumpet).
Gem City is an eight-piece funk-rock band based in Dayton, Ohio, known for their high-energy music and entertaining live performances. Gem City's unique sound - a balance of rock, jazz, and funk - has led them to share the stage with several diverse acts including Lupe Fiasco, The Werks and Joe Pug.
Since the band formation in 2011, Gem City has quickly amassed an impressive resume; whether they're playing local Dayton bars, at the Downtown Dayton Revival Festival or at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, Gem City has proven that no stage is too small or too big for their sound.
Gem City will be gracing The Underground stage this Saturday, November 15th! Gem City will be playing with Inglorious Neighbors, Ascention, Hardrada and Moment 44 for Round II in The Underground’s Battle of the Bands!
