Cincinnati Pops Presents Trumpet Extraordinaire

Legendary trumpeter and former Tonight Show bandleader Doc Severinsen returns to Music Hall on Saturday, October 18 at 8 pm and Sunday, October 19 at 2 pm to join the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell for an evening of greatest hits. A Music Hall favorite, Severinsen and the Pops will perform such hits as “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Take the A-Train” and other classics from the three albums they have recorded together.

Having performed with the Pops on numerous occasions, Doc Severinsen is the only musician to be named an honorary member of the Orchestra, even earning a signature Pops red blazer. “This is where he launched this fantastic career as a conductor and [orchestral] performer,” said Mr. Russell. “It’s a joyous homecoming anytime that Doc comes back here to Cincinnati.”

Tickets for this concert start at $25 and can be purchased via the Pops Box office by calling (513) 381-3300 or visiting www.cincinnatipops.org.
