Moose at The Crow's Nest

Moose Gronholm is back to host Artist in Residency at The Crow’s Nest on Thursday September 25th. Music starts at 9p and this week his talented guests are Dylan Michael Bentley and Dead Man String Man

Dylan Michael Bentley

“Bentley’s yearning, Neil Young-esque voice will... pique the interest of new fans. Bentley’s got a way with a harmonica, an enthusiasm for traditional songwriting, and tons of motivation. I look forward to see where he goes from here.” - Independent Clauses

“Dylan Michael Bentley could be the next great artist to come out of Central Illinois” - No Depression

“Bentley’s an incredibly gifted songwriter. Wise beyond his 23 years, already sober and determined to find truth through his music... races along with the intensity of a locomotive at full speed” - Ted Slowik - Blues Musings

Dead Man String Man
Rob McAllister isn’t new to the Cincinnati music scene, but his reinvention of himself is. Over the past year Rob has gone from strumming out his favorite tunes to all out finger picking with the best in the city. After receiving much credit in the city for his guitar ability he knew he had to do something different to set himself apart from the rest. So he made a few calls and was poised to set up a 3 piece band to debut, but things happen as they do and Rob was left without a band just 4 days before the event the band was scheduled to have it’s first performance. He kept the title ‘Dead Man String Band’ and appeared at the gig wielding a kick drum, two amplifiers, and enough cables to run and old telephone operators patch bay. If no one was going to help him, he was going to do it all himself. What was first made only to deliver something for a gig quickly changed into his full time routine.
