Boyz II Men and The Cincinnati Pops to Make History

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra (Pops) is thrilled to welcome, for the first time ever, the best-selling R&B group of all time, Boyz II Men, for an unforgettable one-night musical event on Tuesday, April 29 at historic Music Hall. This final concert of the Pops’ 2013-2014 Music Hall season features breathtaking performances of the group’s most beloved hits such as “On Bended Knee,” “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday,” “The End of the Road,” and “Motownphilly,” all accompanied by the show-stopping Pops Orchestra.

Known as true performers, Boyz II Men began its musical journey in 1988 and remains a leading contender in the world of R&B. The group, comprised of baritone Nathan Morris and tenors Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman, has multiple number one hits under their belts, along with four Grammy Awards and over 60 million sold recordings. Popular and in high-demand worldwide, Boyz II Men relies on their great soul and soothing voices alone to enchant audiences.

This concert features another exciting first for the Pops: conductor Sarah Hicks will be the first woman to ever lead the Cincinnati Pops in performance. Ms. Hicks gained recognition in the New York Times as a part of a “new wave of female conductors,” and has earned her spot among the “next generation of up-and-coming American conductors.” Ms. Hicks is no stranger to pops orchestras, having been named principal conductor of the Pops and Presentations of the Minnesota Orchestra.

This concert event featuring Boyz II Men and the Pops is expected to sell out. Tickets for this concert start at just $25 and are available by calling the CSO Box Office at (513) 381-3300 or visiting www.cincinnatisymphony.org.
