The Northern Kentucky Black-N-Bluegrass Rollergirls presents their annual end of the season party, a Nightmare Before Christmas themed party at the Southgate House Revival in the Sanctuary.  Although costumes are optional, you may want to become a character to feel at home in Halloween Town, while helping send the Rollergirls out with a bang, with or without mad scientists.  This dreadful night will include a silent auction featuring themed items, a photo booth by Justin Caridi to showcase your attire, and PD Pro Audio as DJ and of course The Pumpkin King’s favorite bands: Deceiving Ralph, Frankl Project, Sweet Ray Laurel, and Chakras!

Deceiving Ralph
Formed in 1999, this punk band has been stomping graveyards in Cincinnati for quite some years.  Influenced by fellow punk rockers The Queers, The Ramones, and my all time favorite, Green Day to name a few, Deceiving Ralph began with drummer Bobby Joe Friday, Scott the Ralph, Johnny Hooligan, and Phatty McDave.  With their own creative take on punk, over the years they have created their own label, joined greats at the Warped Tour, and been nominated as Cincy’s best punk band.  After a few years of hiatus, Deceiving Ralph is back, ready for whatever, and they are rocking out with ghosts, goblins, and ghouls.  Frankl Project
Guitarist and singer Jake Tippey, drummer and singer Joe Frankl, and bassist and sort of singer Paul Schroder are Cincinnati natives.  The trio release their first EP in 2004, and since, released two self-produced records and toured regionally with Bottom Line, The Toasters, and Harry and the Potters to name a few.  Played with a lot of heart, their combination of rock, punk, and reggae is uniquely blended upon a sleigh coffin.  Sweet Ray Laurel
This northern Kentucky indie post-punk band began in 2002, when bassist Kenny Potter and guitarist Eric Boehmker decided to assemble a band at their very own nightmare before Christmas, later acquiring Jims, singing and playing electric guitar, Dane Dickman on drums, and keyboardist Matt Grone.  Traveling to Louisville, Philadelphia, Stateboro, and everywhere in between, Sweet Ray Laurel has gathered quite a fan base, known for their explosive, passionate, and sometimes aggressive experiences.  After releasing their self titled album, debuting on radio stations, and reaching international fans, Matt was replaced by Dave Catton, and the ban released a new EP, Tabula Rasa.  As the band changes, so does their music.  Sweet Ray Laurel is adventurous and ever so surprising as werewolves lurking in the night.

Founded in 2008, Chakras is a Cincinnati hard-rock band that combines pop, metal, prog, and punk to create their own unique flare of music, more intense than Sally’s feelings for Jack.  Two years later, they released their debut full length album, Cedric and were earned the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Hard Rock in 2012 and 2013 after years of nominations.  With Andrea on vocals, ranging from operatic to sultry, Jeff Conner aggressively playing guitar, Mary Beth Camp playing a tight bass, Steve Klonsinki whipping the drums, and Patrice adding cello and keys, Chakras leaves you with a earful of stimulation.
