Nick Jaina is a musician and writer from Portland, Oregon. He has released five albums, composed 3 ballets, as well as film and play soundtracks. Nick writes an occasional column for Portland’s local music website Willamette Week, and has had portions of his essays published in literary compilations and in the Atlantic Monthly. Nick has toured the United States with his band, playing in theaters and on street corners with a group of musicians that has included trumpet, violin, upright bass and drums.
The single from the album, "Don't Come To Me," was recently featured on NPR's Morning Edition as part of their Heavy Rotation series spotlighting the best songs from public radio stations around the country. CincyMusic.com also featured this in our #MusicMonday Must Haves back on May 6th.
Nick Jaina Nick recently released Primary Perceptions (Fluff and Gravy Records), another stellar album in a remarkably varied career. The album is the result of a winding journey from writing ballet music in Brooklyn, composing film soundtracks in Los Angeles and theatrical scores in New Orleans.
