School of Rock Mason is celebrating its 1st year anniversary of providing innovative music lessons to kids. Tonight, the school is putting on a concert featuring the music of Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, James Brown, The Police, Prince, The Eurthymics, The Spencer Davis Group and others. Nearly 50 kids from its Performance Program will hit the stage at some point during the night. The program will draw on the best performances from the four shows it produced during its first year plus two new shows it will perform in May.
Net ticket proceeds from the concert will go to the Rock School Scholarship Fund, a national 501c3 public charity that provides financial assistance to students who cannot afford full tuition to a music school that teaches rock music and performance. Money raised will be earmarked to students in the Greater Cincinnati area.
