MidPoint Music Festival is accepting band submissions as of today via Sonicbids! There are 60 guaranteed showcase positions for Sonicbids artists.
How to Submit for Consideration
Using the Sonicbids online submission system, prepare an electronic press kit (EPK), including band bio, photos, press, and a minimum of three (3) original songs.
MidPoint Music Festival will be returning to Over-the-Rhine and Downtown on September 26th through 28th. Being the 12th year, competition will be steep in order to be selected for a showcase. As stated by the Sonicbids page, “After 11 years of featuring more than 180 performances over three days each year, MPMF has made a reputation for as a taste-makers music festival. Many of MidPoint's 2012 performers made year-end lists for Best Album or Best New Artist in major music publications such as SPIN, Fader, Pitchfork, NME, Filter, Paste, Rolling Stone and NPR.”
Also, MPMF will be teaming up with The Counter Rhythm Group for a locally insourced trade show for musicians on February 7th. Being held at Rohs Street Café, musicians will be able to browse the many local services available to them. Among these are photographers, designers, video production companies, poster and t-shirt makers, and many others. Also on hand will be representatives of MPMF in order to accept submissions for a showcase at MPMF!
