Frontier Ruckus are playing The Southgate House Revival tonight! They are touring in support of their new release, Eternity of Dimming. The double album was out digitally on 1/29/13 and will be out physically on 2/12/13 on Michigan-based indie label Quite Scientific Records.
Frontier Ruckus are an indie, folk, bluegrass band from Detroit, Michigan. Ruckus has toured the U.S. and Europe extensively including festivals such as Slottsfjell Festival in Norway and Bonnarro Music Festival. Ruckus has taped a performance on the program, Mountain Stage on NPR and has been used in ads for an Adult Swim (Comedy Central) show.
Eternity of Dimming is the culminating chapter in their suburban memory landscape series. The sprawling, 20-song double album was recorded in rural Michigan during the winter, when the dusk settles in at about 4 pm and the nights seem endless. Working in isolation (including being snowed in), the group captured Milia's vivid, confessional memories on tape and the album took shape.
