Buffalo Killers and Friends at Southgate House Revival tonight!

Buffalo Killers headline a four band bill at the beautiful Southgate House Revival on February 16th, 2013. Also featured are Haunted Leather (Grand Rapids, MI), Homemade Drugs (Cincinnati), and Children of The Emerald Fire (Cincinnati).

The show is a part of the Cincy Psych Fest Freak-Out Series, a string of psych-minded shows leading up to the annual Cincy Psych Fest in October.

Buffalo Killers are an American rock band comprising brothers Zachary and Andrew Gabbard with Joseph Sebaali. Quickly signed to Alive Records after sending a burnt CD with just their telephone number and name on it, their self-titled debut album was released in October of 2006. Buffalo Killers drew the attention of Chris Robinson, who invited the band to open a string of dates for The Black Crowes. That road trip spawned the songs for the band’s second long player, Let It Ride, produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach.

Haunted Leather is on tour from Grand Rapids, MI for the release of their new album, Red Road.

“Haunted Leather are another American heavy psych outfit who tick all the normal boxes for the genre; masses of reverb - especially on the guitars which sound HUGE, an organ player who doesn't so much play as lean on certain chords, heavy drones, and a near constant mid tempo beat that lasts from the first minute until the last. What sets Haunted Leather apart from their peers is their complete mastery of atmosphere and mood. Every listen to Red Road transports me somewhere bleak, spacious and windswept in a way that only Calexico's Black Light and Earth's The Bees Made Honey In The Lions' Head have previously managed.” - The Active Listener

Homemade Drugs are an alternative rock collective of musicians from Cincinnati, Ohio and the brainchild of Brian McCabe.

Children of the Emerald Fire are a newer psychedelic rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, featuring former members of Thee Shams, Heartless Bastards, Brian Olive Band, The High and Low, and Campfire Crush.

Advanced tickets are $8 and are available at the venue, Shake It Records, or online at TicketFly. Tickets can also be purchased for $10 on the day of the show.

Doors open at 8pm and music starts at 9pm.

Admission is 18+.
