The first Cincypunk Fest was in 2003, and has been spearheaded by local music fan Adam Rosing.  The event was set up to showcase the emerging independent rock scene in Greater Cincinnati.  The event, thanks to the local music community, has raised nearly $50,000 for a number of local charities over the years including the Women’s Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky, the Mental Health Association, Lighthouse Youth Services, the Animal Adoption Foundation, Save Our Shelter Dogs, NECCO, Camp Ernst’s YMCA Core Character Developmental Program, as well as paying the medical bills for a local musician suffering from testicular cancer.
