SXSW is upon us! Time to find some brand new loves and get reacquainted with old loves, band-wise that is. Via SXSW performances in years past, I have discovered Bon Iver, Andrew Bird, and The Airborne Toxic Event. This year, others will be able to discover Cincinnati gems including The Sundresses, Pomegranates, The Lions Rampant, Wussy, Heartless Bastards, Walk The Moon, Foxy Shazam, and The Seedy Seeds.

SXSW launched in 1989 to draw attention to the vibrant music scene in Austin, Texas, but it has morphed into an attention-drawing magnet for independent musicians and other artists. Now SXSW is one of the major music festivals in the U.S. Bands featured at SXSW are bound to be on your favorite list for years to come.
