Stageit allows you to ticket your live online events

There were many bits of tech news that came out of SXSW last week. One of the more common themes across panels was the use of this new website called Stageit.com. They allow artists to set up a live broadcast on their website (like UStream and Youtube) & charge people to watch it. 'Tickets' can be as low as 1¢ and users have the ability to tip, compete to be the largest tipper, and share real time comments with the artist to request songs. Relatively unknown bands have been able to raise thousands of dollars without having to travel half way across the country! Artists such as Craig Owen and Tim McGraw use the service as well, so you are in good company as far as professionalism goes. Check out the video at this link for more information.
