Waking Silas is an eclectic duo from Cincinnati, Ohio who has brought their sound to the indie-rock/folk scene. The duo consists of Logan Blankenship heading up the vocals and on the guitar, and James Schuster on the drums. They got together and began creating music in the beginning of 2014. The bands influences derive from other notable bands such as: Panic! At the Disco, City and Colour, and Mumford & Sons to have found their way into a unique sound that is sure to shake the music scene.


The band independently released their first EP, Sleepless Nights, in June of 2014 and has since distributed over 200 copies of the EP. They are currently playing shows and in the studio writing new music while they continue to evolve their sound. Waking Silas has received notable recognition from Cincy Music and has had frequent radio plays of their single “Sleepless Nights” on Cincinnati’s Project 100.7 / 106.3. You can currently find the band playing and sharing their sound in the Cincinnati/Covington area at a variety of venues.
