"The song titles on Here On The South Shore We Treat Friends Mo Bettah give it all away: “LBI Mike Reggae Party,” “Submarine Surf Party,” “More Beer Party,” “Billy Don’t Surf,” “Dawn Patrol.” But that’s OK. For a certain segment of music fans, there’s nothing more comforting than a pinch of thrash punk, a touch of surf rock, and some dancehall-worthy horns spicing up your post-surf party. And Long Beach, NY’s, The Shipwrecks deliver those fun-loving goods in spades."
Over the past five years the band has played from Manhattan to Montauk and everywhere in between including the inaugural CBGB Festival in 2012. They have also played regionally at the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA; the Launch Music Conference and Festival in Lancaster, PA; Dark City Entertainment’s Happy Monday's at Wonderbar in Asbury Park; the Jersey Shore Music Festival in Seaside Heights, NJ; as well as a regular slot in Ludlow, VT during the winter season. The band got the opportunity of a lifetime when Live Nation invited them to headline the Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan on St Patrick’s Day 2014. They have been fortunate to share the stage with some of the nations top acts including The Aggrolites, Smash Mouth, Badfish (Tribute to Sublime), The Scofflaws, The Toasters, The Pietasters, Big D and the Kids Table, members of Wu-Tang Clan and more.
