Formed in March of 2015, The Bassless Chaps was originally a duo project between Guitarist/Vocalist Jacob Snow and Bassist Bryan Lewis. Shortly after conception the band added Drummer Derek Johnson, and together they played shows together until early 2016 when Guitarist Jonah Simpson joined with the group, solidifying the current lineup. They spent the year playing shows and recording their debut EP "Mistaken for Geniuses," which was released on October 28th, 2016.We are a very energetic band

We are a very energetic band first and foremost, drawing inspiration from a wide variety of artists, such as Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vulfpeck, Led Zeppelin and many others. We use our individual influences we come together to form a sound and performance that is truly unique. Live shows are never boring and our music is nothing short of entertaining.
