Sami Riggs is a singer-songwriter whose songs reveal genuine, sometimes humorous, portraits of innocence lost, the wonder and struggles of friendship and love, amidst flashes of ecstatic beauty rocketing from the mundane. With a voice simultaneously expressive, powerful and sweet, her beautifully constructed melodies and acoustic guitar-driven songs create an energized and engaging experience.

Riggs is from Dry Ridge, Kentucky, where the midwest meets south, and the roots of American folk, rock, pop, country and soul have jointly influenced her style. Riggs’ music is reminiscent of the acoustic sides of Sheryl Crow and Tom Petty and eclectic singer songwriters Nick Drake, Jill Sobule and Elliot Smith. Aided and abetted by Cincinnati based co-writer, guitarist and producer, Brian Lovely, Riggs continues to explore the origins of her influences in the singer-songwriters and classic power pop of the sixties and early seventies.
