Pretty Damn Good (PDG):Is a good example of what can happen when you know who you are, stay true to it, and quit being afraid to gamble. PDG is not only what you see, its not just about music, it’s a lifestyle. Almost like a motto, if you’re PDG you know that anything is possible. Its not gonna be hard, its just gonna be work. Starting in 2009 a clique name, PDG was born from the reception of a lot of different influences
Is a good example of what can happen when you know who you are, stay true to it, and quit being afraid to gamble. PDG is not only what you see, its not just about music, it’s a lifestyle. Almost like a motto, if you’re PDG you know that anything is possible. Its not gonna be hard, its just gonna be work.
Starting in 2009 a clique name, PDG was born from the reception of a lot of different influences in the music scene across the bubble. As far as rap goes influences include Outkast, UGK, Nas, Jay-z, Snoop Dogg, E-40, Curren$y, J.Cole and the list goes on. Along with a personal touch, a natural knack for wordplay, skills, and a deep seeded love for music you get the basis for a dream. Building on top of that base is an innate need to stand out, going against the grain is natural for us, but it’s the drive behind all these factors that makes a perfect combination. So, recapping, we get stylish, naturally skilled music lovers that don’t listen to the way things are but make their own way as a recipe for the base model of a PDG member.
The acronym for the name is just an exclamation mark on the statement that you make for your life. It explains how you handle things with music, work, relationships, and life. If somebody was to ask about a dream you’re chasing, a thing you’re pursuing actively and they asked
“Are you any good?!” what do you say?
“I’m alright”, “You should check me out, I’m hot”, “People have told me I’m talented”
Nah, if you’re any good you should embrace it, wear it like a badge, let em know when you look at em ”. . . . I’m Pretty Damn Good if you’re asking.”
