The haunting vocals of 18-year-old Catlea will leave you wanting more. The pensive singer-songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio has been playing music for as long as she can remember, so long that she “feels music in my bones”. Along with her distinctive voice, Catlea also plays piano, guitar, and ukulele; her music spanning the genres of folk and indie to rock and pop.
Inspired by every-day occurrences, Catlea’s lyrics focus on topics such as love, friendship, politics, and nature. As a member of the LGBTQ community, Catlea creates music that is inclusive of everyone, no matter how they identify. Strong female vocalists influence Catlea’s sound, and her musical style is similar to Billie Eilish, Halsey, Kailee Morgue, Au/Ra, Grace VanderWaal, Ingrid Michaelson, and Ruelle.
No stranger to the stage, Catlea has collaborated with several Cincinnati-based musicians, including guitarist Richie Terbush of 3 Piece Revival, Another Colour, and the Sullivan & Jansen Band. She has also appeared in several music videos with the O’Keefe Foundation.
Catlea’s second single, “Cherry Pie”, produced by Trey Vittetoe (Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry), is out September 6 and will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Pandora, Amazon Music, Reverbnation, Jango, Soundcloud and many others.
