Mad Anthony & Automagik Arrive In the Jungle

In a surprise move, Jungle Jim’s in Eastgate will be hosting a kickoff party for Bunbury Music Festival tonight and have invited local Rock ‘n Roll hooligans Mad Anthony and Automagik to regale customers with acoustic versions of fan favorites and new jams.

Mad Anthony, now over 10 weeks into their 52 week long, one new song a week experiment Mad Anthology, will be setting up to play through some of their personal favorites, as well as new tracks that they’ve already started to work into their repertoire. They’ll be warming up for their official Bunbury performance this weekend, bringing their own brand of Rock ‘N Roll worship to the CVG Stage at 2:30 on Sunday, June 5.

Indie/pop/funk chameleons Automagik will be celebrating the release of their brand new EP, The Road, which release this Friday, June 3 through Old Flame Records. Hot off the heels of the groove soaked and inimitably sassy Dark Daze EP, they’ll also be playing a stripped down set full of older jams and (hopefully) debuting acoustic versions of songs off of the new EP. You can catch their raucous Bunbury set on Saturday, June 4 at 2:30, also on the CVG Stage.

Sponsored by Miller Lite and Leinenkugel’s, the Jungle Jim’s Bunbury Kickoff Party will be held tonight at the Eastgate location from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, near the Tasting and Growler Bar, with the bands performing at 6:30 and 7:30. Jungle Jim’s will be raffling off a pair of tickets to each day of the festival, and there will be drink specials throughout the night. This one promises to be a fully unique experience, and just the right way to get you ready for the music saturated weekend ahead at Bunbury.
