Mark Utley

Mark Utley is the songwriter and voice behind Cincinnati's acclaimed Americana/Roots band Magnolia Mountain and Country/Honky Tonk outfit Bulletville.  He also performs solo, as a duet with MM's Renee Frye, and as part of the Magnolia Mountain Trio and Quartet.

Mark was nominated for Songwriter of the Year at the 2010, 2013 and 2014 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, and performed at the CEA ceremonies in 2009 (with Magnolia Mountain) and 2013 (with Renee Frye).

Mark released his first solo album, Four Chords and a Lie, in July 2013 with producer Mike Ingram (The Seedy Seeds) at the helm.  The record was a 50/50 mixture of original Country and Folk songs (with Bulletville serving as the backing band), a batch of more stripped-down, acoustic guitar-based songs, and a duet with Renee Frye.  Mark will release his second solo album (titled Bulletville), on April 11, 2015.
