CincyMusic.com: What can one expect at a live Black Joe Lewis show?
Black Joe Lewis: Expect a band that has a good time and feeds off the crowd. Music snobs prepare to be pissed off.
CM: Tell us a little bit about your writing process. Are you when the mood strikes kinds person or do you have a regimen?
BJL: I don't have a set writing process. Some times I come with good shit and sometimes its bad or you got nothing. Just come back to it when you feel like you got something to say
CM: You have played a plethora of music festivals, what has been your favorite experience at one?
BJL: Too many to count, the best was in Spain on the beach and playing in front of a bunch of topless girls. Any show where theres a mosh pit is number 1 though
CM: May I ask what happened to The Honeybears?
BJL: I would tell you but I don't wanna get sued. We had enemies in our midst
CM: Any advice for a new artist just starting out?
BJL: Keep it real, if your not unique you wont get noticed no matter how good you are. Play a lot of shows and keep material coming out
