Born and raised in Kentucky, Trademark Aaron is a clear standout. In a region not known for clever, catchy, inspired, and futuristic hip hop, Trademark Aaron does all of these with finesse.
Trademark started young, writing poems and stories and didn’t know what to do with them until he found Hip Hop. “I was really inspired by people like Nas, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang, UGK, Outkast, Reflection Eternal, and Mos Def. Not just by the slick-talking, funny, witty lines and precise flows, but by the creativity and the ability to give the listeners visuals they could really see while listening. I knew this was something I had to be a part of.”
From there he began to dedicate his life to music. “From being involved in freestyle battles, to writing and recording songs, to performing on stages, I truly found myself in the music. I went from writing and rhyming for fun and entertainment, to truly having a passion and drive to do it for the rest of my life.”
Trademark is a well-known concert draw in his region with a meticulously crafted stage show incorporating a singer and musicians. Trademark Aaron has opened up for numerous national recording acts such as Ghostface Killah, J. Cole, Mike Posner, Freddie Gibbs, Raekwon, Freeway, Yelawolf, and Talib Kweli just to name a few. He’s fully committed to his musical journey, “More than anything I just want to make great music that will last forever, not just for the moment. My focus is to become one of the greatest of all time and be able to make music that all different types of people can enjoy and identify with. I'm not just here for the bright lights and the big checks, I truly want to be recognized as an artist and writer that can paint pictures with words.”
