Shades of You is a 5-piece NKY alt/prog-rock passion project that came together in the summer of 2020. Conceptualized by guitarist Ryan Boldery, the plan became reality when paths crossed with vocalist Dakota Eagle. To bring the band to life, guitarist Kevin Williams, bassist Josh Curran, and drummer Daniel Laverde were tapped to join.. 

Comprised of undeniable talent and unique voices, Shades of You is a musical collective built on professional backgrounds and fundamental understanding. From Berklee Music to home studios, local scene exposure to international touring, as well as the ability to adapt, change, and control with precision what they wanted to be, they’re a group of individuals stronger than the sum of its parts. 

With their debut EP, each member finds a moment to shine while contributing to the whole. Complex doesn’t have to mean untouchable, catchy doesn’t have to mean compromise. Layered and intricate, often at odds and moving down different musical paths, seemingly chaotically or with utter clarity - what happens by the end of each track is the product of a cohesive, singular, focused entity.
