Electric Son is a funky-ass seven-person band from Cincinnati. They creates an original blend of funk, blues, and alternative music, with funky, muscular grooves, catchy melodies, and strong tight songs that have meaningful stories to tell.

Leslie Frimer adds soulful harmonies while Marcus Saskin (bass) and Kevin Best (drums) lay the funky foundation. The veteran horn section of Walt Azagba, Rob Brown, and Frank O'Bryant top it off to create a high-energy performance that has lit up festival stages, intimate venues, and supported talent like Blind Pilot, Joseph, Deep Sea Diver, and the Shook Twins.

Jim Salters' songwriting tells an autobiographical story of transformation: born in a rural trailer park to his Korean mother and Irish Army vet father, striving against adversity, and the journey through insecurities, triumph, love, loss, spirituality, and fatherhood.
