Matthew Umphreys and Sarah Folsom of the Queen City Cabaret have teamed up with local musicians and mixologists, Maya Banatwala and Kristen Kreft, to celebrate the release of their new cocktail recipe book, Cincinnati Rocktails. The book celebrates Cincinnati’s musical history with craft cocktails, each dedicated to a musician with a Queen City connection. On May 17 at Caffe Vivace, Queen City Cabaret will perform a concert of the music featured in the book, including songs by artists such as James Brown, Patti Page, Rusty York, Nina Simone, Big Maybelle, Hank Ballard and more. Audience members will be able to purchase the newly published book, meet the authors, and try a signature rocktail.
Queen City Cabaret is a new concert series based in Cincinnati. Founded by local professional musicians Matthew Umphreys and Sarah Folsom, QCC celebrates Cincinnati’s rich history of song by bringing Cincy-inspired performances of jazz, pop, and theatrical vocal music to the community.
