Local musicians felt this loss deeply, as Petty has been an undeniable force in American music and a noted influence on so many writers. He had just wrapped up his farewell tour playing his final shows only two weeks earlier. Local musicians wanted to come together to celebrate his legacy and impact on our own music and lives.
