Join us on Thursday January 25 as Marjorie Lee hosts a free clinic on major/minor/sus/aug/dim open tunings, drop tunings, and shifted tunings, their purpose, and the way they've been used in traditional music up to how they are being used now with examples of contemporary alt tunings in popular songs.
We will also likely talk about alt tunings on instruments with more or less that 6 strings and how the stringing of the instrument affects the tuning possibilities, and there will be some basic guitar anatomy involved.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an instrument - we can all tune and play together.
