2011 saw the release of their self-titled debut full-length on their own Best Friends Records, which followed much anticipation and was met with even more acclaim. In 2012 they elicited the bass/guitar magic of friend, Jeremy Graham and crushed any thought of a "sophomore slump" in 2013 with the fantastic follow-up full-length, "Life is Awesome, and Then You Live Forever."
The Yugos have spent their career so far growing a very loyal following of not only fans, but real friends, with their admirable D.I.Y. spirit, super high energy live show, and ever-positive vibrations. Cincinnati is lucky to call this group their own.
The Winter Sounds: 500 shows over the last 5 years. That is the true definition of a band hard at work.
That band is New Orleans, The Winter Sounds. Fun. Energetic. Anthemic. All words to describe The Winter Sounds and their catchy-as-hell sonic gems. Started in Athens, GA by sole-TWS constant, Patrick Keenan, the band has morphed into a juggernaut touring machine with pop chops that turn heads and get feet tapping. Now calling New Orleans home, Keenan and crew teamed up with veteran producer Scott Solter (ie. Spoon, St. Vincent, Okkervil River) and are primed and ready to go with their latest full length entitled Runner (out 11/27/2012) on Florida's New Granada Records.
Runner abounds with the frenetic live energy that the band is known for, mixing elements of danceable post-punk and contemporary electro-pop with an '80's flair. Of Runner, Keenan says “Each song represents a lost belief or some failed ambition. But, within each one there are personal realizations and revelations.”
Indigo Wild: This young quartet formed in Columbus, OH during Summer 2010, quickly taking hold in Cincinnati. Indigo Wild achieves a groove that captivates listeners with a robust rhythmic section and finicky guitar duals drenched in reverb, all topped off by waves of three-part harmony and melodic chants.
