Ralph Peterson Quintet

The Ralph Peterson Organ Quartet, with Mike Wade, Trumpet; Eddie Bayard, Tenor; and Bobby Floyd, Hammond Organ; will be live at The Thgompson House Friday June 7, 20136 at 8pm. Ticket price $20.

For nearly 30 years, Mr Peterson has been a leader on the drums. After being the second drummer for Art Blakey for three years, he played extensively with Terrance Blanchard, Donald Harrison, Walter Davis, Branford Marsalis, James Spaulding, Roy Hargrove, Jon Faddis, Dewey Redman, and Wynton Marsalis, among others.

Mike Wade, currently the Band Director at Withrow High School, began his journey with the trumpet during his preteen years. He completed his musical education with a Bachelors in Music Education at Central State University on full scholarship.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, Edwin Bayard started a musical journey that has placed him in the lineage of the great tenorsax players: Coleman Hawkins, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, and Eddie Harris to name a few.

Dr William Menefield, is one of the country's leading young pianists. He recently earned his PhD in music composition from The University of Texas!!
William has performed with some of the very best jazz musicians in the world. He has performed with Clark Terry, David "Fathead" Newman, Gary Bartz, and Azar Lawrence, among many, many others. He has several recordings to his credit including "Big Will Leaps In" and "Will's Revenge".

The fifth member of this quartet is Dean Hulett, the very gifted Bassist from 
Cleveland, Ohio.  


Dean has recently been on a world tour that has included stops in the Caribbean and Europe!
