Steve Earle at The Mercantile Library

He’s about to kick off a tour with The Dukes to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Copperhead Road, but last night we were fortunate to have Steve all to ourselves in the stunning Mercantile Library. It’s a gorgeous space, huge but intimate, a blend of glass, warm wood and metal. Thousands of volumes of words surround us and the remainder of the evening light filters through the tall arched windows as Steve takes the small stage.

Review: Rock n’ Revival for a Cure

With over $7,300 raised for cancer research and 600 tickets sold, the 3rd annual Rock n’ Revival for a Cure at the Southgate House Revival on Saturday night was the biggest one yet. Each of the 29 bands gave memorable performances taking up the entire venue throughout the day. Hosted by The Grove, musicians from Ohio and Kentucky drew in crowds of all kinds in every genre.

Columbus BrewGrass is a Big Success in its First Year

The inaugural Columbus BrewGrass festival was held in at The Bluestone in Columbus this past weekend. As detailed in our preview for the festival, the lineup was wonderful and absolutely lived up to the billing. More importantly for a first-year fest, the common logistical complaints were avoided, and the event went off without a hitch.
