My Name in Vain is a union of musicians that merged from the remnants of dissolving local bands in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. Bands such as Chapter of Progress, (Slinky and Bryan) Scarlett Absence, (Eric and Eli) and From This Tower (Josh Abney). The band is focused on writing songs that are both memorable and enjoyable to perform, while also leaving spectators awestruck. With broad musical styling and various genres infused, My Name in Vain will not be pigeonholed into one specific category.
