At its most laconic and pensive, Chrome Pony vibrates with an irresistible intensity and a rootsy, garage-stained melodicism. On its two EPs (2011’s Illegal Smiles, 2014’s You Are the Pisces) and one full-length (2013’s Lazy Bones), brothers Tyler and Kyle Davis (guitar and drums, respectively) and a rotating cast have created a howling hybrid of bratty Punk and heartland Rock.
