Boxhead Monkey started about 5 years ago with just two ( Steve Smith on electric guitar, bass, piano, vocals, lyrics and Tj Cromer on drums and lyrics) of the now five members trying to create catchy, simplistic music that at the time we both thought had disappeared. As the years progressed, we decided to branch out and add a bass player and focus on live music more. About a year ago, certain circumstances, on several occasions, forced us to constantly find new bass players. At this point we came across a group of 3 guys (Brandon Flynn on vocals and audio production engineering as well as lyrics, Josh Stewart on rhythm guitar and Cody Ivey on bass) of the band "The Fifth Story" doing the same thing as us. Next thing you know we've combined efforts and taken on a whole new personality. Steve decided he had other endeavors he needed to pursue so we added new lead guitarist/vocalist Gage Rogers. In the process of creating new music we decided to also add a female vocalist Erika Flynn to change the dynamics of our sound.
