Dan Karlsberg & The 'Nati 6 / It's Commonly Jazz

with:
  • Dan Karlsberg & The 'Nati 6

Dan Karlsberg & The ‘Nati 6 will kick off the 30th anniversary of the weekly summer concert series It’s Commonly Jazz, by performing music from their new album THE ‘NATI 6 at Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park on Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

THE ‘NATI 6 is Karlsberg’s third album, but his first with this lineup of some of the city’s most-respected jazz musicians: Marc Fields (trombone), Brent Gallaher (saxophone), Art Gore (drums), Jim Anderson (bass) and Kim Pensyl (trumpet), who was twice named one of Billboard’s Top-20 Contemporary Jazz Artists of the Year and had four Top-10 albums on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz chart. No wonder Cincinnati CityBeat called THE ‘NATI 6 “brilliant… hypnotically adventurous.”

Karlsberg, an award-winning pianist and composer, teaches at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. He performs regularly throughout the region, and has worked as a sideman with the likes of Tim Warfield, Donald Harrison, Ted Nash, JD Allen, and many others.

The music of Dan Karlsberg is available on iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon, Google Music and elsewhere. More information is available at www.DanKarlsberg.com.
