 Art Gore has played with a multitude of the world’s best musicians during his three decade career. He has performed and recorded with artists such as George Benson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lonnie Liston Smith, Pharoah Sanders, Woody Shaw, Larry Young, Bobby Watson, Freddie Hubbard, John Scofield, Hank Marr, J.J. Johnson, Kenny Dorham, Hank Crawford, James Moody, and Ahmad Jamal.

 

JD Allen has spent most of his career in New York City. Hehas played with Lester Bowie,George Cables,Betty Carter, Ron Carter, Jack DeJohnette, Frank Foster Big Band, Winard Harper, Butch Morris, David Murray, Wallace Roney, Cindy Blackman, Orrin Evans, Gerald Cleaver, Me’shell Ndegeocello, Dave Douglas and Nigel Kennedy, among others.Allen’s debut album, In Search Of J.D. Allen, was awarded the Best New Artist award in Italy in 1999.  The Victory! album, released in 2011, received a four star rating in Down Beat and was ranked as the third best jazz album of 2011 by NPR. Won DownBeat’s 2011 Rising Star Award.

EDDIE BROOKSHIRE (Bass) was born in Carthage, Miss. and moved to Dayton Ohio at age 6. Originally a Clarinet player, while in the US Army taught himself Electric Bass, first toured and recorded with Piney Brown’s Blues Band, then with the Coasters.After Acoustic Bass studies with Larry Gales, he joined James Newton’s jazz group. Later, he attended Central State University and organized the University’s Big band.He was a member of the Down Beat award winning symphonic orchestra

Dan Karlsberg has been a prominent voice on the keyboards for the last 10 years. Hisnotable includes Steve Whipple on Bass, and Anthony Lee on Drums; he also leads a leading sextet and. He has performed with a number of local, and national jazz performers.
