5 Must See Shaky Knees Artists

5 Must See Shaky Knees Artists

By on  Comments

Shaky Knees takes place at the Centennial Olympic Park and International Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia this weekend! Check out our preview of the festival here. If you are down for the road trip we have picked out five artists you must see!

Weekend and single day passes are still available HERE.

The Struts: Glitter, Glamour and Grit. The Struts larger than life demographic thrives on the theatrics of 70s and 80s stadium bands and the rock n’ roll attitude of 90s brit-pop. Underneath all the makeup and attitude are straight jams that will make you dance. The band will grace the stage early evening Friday, May 13.

The Sword: Heavily influenced by the one and only Black Sabbath, The Sword has gained a following with their classic heavy metal approach to the doom and stoner metal genres. With their latest album, “High Country” the band evolved even further adding southern rock and country influences to their heavy sound. Check this unique metal band out Friday, May 13.

Deftones: Deftones have become some sort of heavy metal hero story in recent years. The band that came out of the mid-90s rise of Nu-metal have completely separated themselves from the genre and stand out as their own thing. Their persistence for continual evolution is admirable. See how far this band has come Sunday, May 15.

The Black Angels: Much like The Doors, The Black Angels have that middle of nowhere desert feel that acts as the imagery whenever you think of psychedelic rock. Their both fuzzy and vivid sound is a sensory overload that you can both hear and feel. Have an out of body experience with them in the hot sun on Sunday, May 15

Beach Slang: Taking into account the self-inflicting loneliness of their music, Beach Slang are kind of a downer. However, this Philly punk band has explosive anthems of manic anxieties that are all but too familiar in our millennial lives. Just listen to “Dirty Cigarettes” and you’ll get it. These guys kick off Shaky Knees early afternoon on Friday, May 13.
