Recap: Women Behind the Music in Cincinnati

Within the month of March, CincyMusic.com featured many of the important women behind the music scene in Cincinnati. Cincinnati is the home of so many amazing women within the music industry and it was an honor to get to know these women. We all often take for granted how much work goes into the behind the scenes of the music industry. 

In case you missed it, here is a recap of the talented women we covered this past month.

Venomous Valdez, a name synonymous with the local music scene and a cheerleader for the scene in many forms over the years at many posts.

Pat Rice, the most beloved fan in the Cincinnati Music Scene. 

Apryl Reighn, a local DJ who also attributes to today's young talent, teaching them the artistry and entrepreneurship of DJ’ing at Elementz.

Kelly Thomas, the the first lady of Cincinnati Music and a champion of the Cincinnati Music Scene.

Liz Felix, the (recently promoted) Program Director at WNKU and our local woman ambassador on the radio. 

Meghan Berneking, Director of Communications at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO)

Maggie Curtis, the Marketing Manager at our beloved Bogart’s and a self proclaimed shameless promoter.

Debbie Branscum, a co-owner of Cincy Events Management and the backbone of many events including Bunbury Festival, MidPoint Music Festival, Taste of OTR, Buckle Up Festival + MANY more.

Erica Turer, a jane of all trades in the music industry and a lover of music in all forms.

Morrella Raleigh, the woman behind Southgate House Revival and an inspiration and role model for much of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky.

Kristin Ropp, Vice President & General Manger of U.S. Bank Arena & The Cincinnati Cyclones and responsible for bringing the biggest names in music to the Queen City.
