The Jericho Harlot Adds Fuel to the Fire

The Jericho Harlot are a punk infused indie rock group who stay true to their roots and goals. Some exciting shows are in their future as well as a new lineup! With several tour runs lined up as well as festival appearances, and the recording of a new album, we grabbed the chance to talk to the band while we could!

What has been going on with The Jericho Harlot since we spoke last January?
We have a new lineup for starters. That's the most drastic change. Spencer Wallace has taken over on drums and production. We couldn't be more pleased with the choice. It has definitely had a positive impact on the personality of the group, and on the song arrangement process. We have been ranked #1 on Reverbnation.com in the punk category for our tristate area...pretty consistently over the last 3 years...thanks to some really loyal fans.

Is The Jericho Harlot headed in another direction given the line up change?
Our direction is similar...It just has lot more fuel for the fire now. The energy level of our live performance has defiantly gone from 10 to 11. The purpose of the Jericho Harlot has always been about making an impact on people, how ever large or small the audience is. All three of us are on the same page now, not just the same chapter...and we are confident that it shows. Both live and on the new material.

What shows can we catch you at in the near future?
In the Cincinnati area for the next few months, we are appearing at the Southgate House Revival in Newport KY ‪on February 26th. This show should be a blast, with the whole lineup playing punk rock of some form or another. We will be back at the Southgate House Revival ‪on April 23rd for the "Rock on the James" concert, benefiting the Parkinson's Wellness Chapter. The proceeds from this particular concert are not only used to help raise awareness, but to also help find a cure. And all of the talent booked for it is always top notch.

What is next for The Jericho Harlot?
We have several tour runs lined up, as well as a busy summer with a few festival stops... mixed in with some club shows in various other states. And we are always adding new show dates. We keep those posted as soon as they are announced on our website, and all of our social media outlets.

The recording process for our second full length (third recording) Salt and Light has already begun. We are all more excited about this project than anything we've done in music to this point. We are not only very proud of the songwriting...but feel blessed by its message. And we hope anyone who hears it is as well. We have yet to decide if it will be an independent release or not. Whichever way we decide; this record is a statement piece. It's our story...and we hope it becomes yours.

So it's full steam ahead for the Jericho Harlot. We hope all who hear us stick around for the ride!
